Mary Elizabeth Gish was born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia, where she still lives with her husband, Josh Gish. She graduated from Upson-Lee High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
Mary Elizabeth is an English teacher at Upson-Lee Middle School, a social media specialist at Southern Ford of Thomaston, and an active member of the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Thomaston Kiwanis Club, is the Public Relations Chair for Spade and Trowel Garden Club, and attends First Baptist Church.
